Poppy.....what a great Masters. Amazing playoff. I'm sure you had a green-side seat in Amen corner but I missed watching it with you.

I worked as Dr. Ryan's nurse for years. He was not only a wonderful boss but he was like a second father to me as well. His skills as a surgeon were impressive and his love of his work was inspiring. I hope that his eternal rest has a beautiful golf course for him to enjoy. He will be missed and his memory will stay with me.

During my 25 years on the MMC Cleft Palate team I learned to respect and admire Walter. He had wonderful and colorful stories and an incredible ability to summarize his opinion in just a few priceless words. Over the years I collected quite a few and read them at his retirement party. Of course they were a big hit as everyone in the room had heard them so many times before. After he retired, I didn't see much of Walter but kept in touch through a mutual friend who would see him on the golf course. We did bump into each other one day and Walter asked me how I was doing..his way of saying.."Have you been to church?". My response was that I didn't have to because I knew he was praying for me.....and I know he was...and I know he prayed for everyone. Walter was one of a kind. He enriched my life and the lives of so many others. I will miss him but will think of him every time I use one of his sayings especially my favorite..." Ah, the things we do for LOVE". Bye Walter, put in a good word for me. Dr Tony Terra
