Wilbert Navarro, 61 of Long Branch died suddenly on Thursday, November 27th at his home.
He was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States after Hurricane Maria. Wilbert had a zest for life; he enjoyed cooking as well as sharing his culinary cuisine with family and friends. Wilbert had a magnetic presence which gave people reason to laugh and trust in Divine Providence; he knew that God has a sense of humor! He always said that we all come with an expiration date; unfortunately, his came so unexpectedly while many were giving thanks Wilbert gave a final thanks to God for his gift of life as well as his family and friends. He loved to travel, visiting Spain and Italy as well as South America. Wilbert especially enjoyed cruises, always making sure he sampled all the food they offered. Several times each year he travelled back to Puerto Rico to spend time with family and friends. Wilbert enjoyed antiquing and thrift shopping, finding outrageous bargains. His essence and presence will be sorely missed; he was a person you could never forget.
Surviving are his brothers and their spouses, Luis A. Navarro and Christina and Orlando Navarro and Marilyn Gonzalez; his sister and her husband, Millie and Father Vincent Rumain; along with many extended family and friends in Puerto Rico.
In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated with no services scheduled. His cremains will be entombed at a later date at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch
