Wilbert’s passing was sudden and heartbreaking, and we are still struggling to comprehend a world without his light. He lifted up friends, encouraged everyone around him to grow, to advocate for themselves, and to believe in their own worth.”
His love for animals was un-matched, especially for my beloved four dogs: Francesca, Valentina, Enzo and Gianni! I have to say that Valentina was his favorite!!!

This photo is how I will always remember Wilo. Us on the road around Puerto Rico, hopping from place to place. We did this a few times until we literally stopped in what felt like the entire island. We went to Caracas Venezuela. And more recently New Jerseys. Just a few weeks back we were talking about again going to Cape May , the Patterson waterfall, Atlantic City, beach town hopping down NJ coast. And even to the Hindu temple complex in Windsor NJ. I always invited him to come with me to my timeshare in Puerto Plata DR. We were of the same adventurous heart and had great fun together. I will always miss him.

FatherVincent J Rumain left a message on December 2, 2025:
Wilo was like a brother to me; he was always looking out for me as my stamina diminished with age. His magnanimous presence and laugh would make you realize that life should not be taken so seriously. Even though he had little he gave and gave generously from the goodness of his heart. He truly lived out Jesus’ command: “what you do for the least of my brothers and sisters you do for Me. May you dance with joy brother Wilo with all your family and friends who were waiting for you in heaven in the awesome presence of God who loved you into and through your life and now wants you to look after your grieving loved ones here on the other side is the veil. Your earthly mission is accomplished, but your heavenly mission has just begun.
